Todays project is a basic electric circuit.
We will experiment with a breadboard, batteries and a few basic electronic components like LEDs, resistors and speakers.
Finally we will spend a short time playing with an Arduino Microcontroller which we can program to control our other electronics components.
Breadboard
A breadboard allows us to quickly add or remove components and wires.
The holes are connected to each other vertically but not horizontally.
eg. hole A1 is connected to B1, C1, D1 and E1.
LED (Light Emitting Diode)
The LED lights up with a specific colour when a current is added.
Like all diodes the current must pass through in a certain direction.
NOTE: Always couple an LED with a resistor to prevent it from burning out.
None Today :-)
